I'm not Wise in the ways of real estate, but the family friend/Realtor that sold me my condo (and my father his houses, and my uncle, and my brother, and and and) might be able to give me the name of someone who specialises out in that area, if you've gotten to that point in the process?

Let me know if you'd like me to drop her a line...

I'm not that serious yet. Just casting about for options.
But I might be in touch...

Sorry you guys don't have the facilities for housing our critters. :(

My regular realtor... ie not cohousing. I am not trying to sell you a home. The woman who sold our house in Marlborough so we could move into cohousing lives in Berlin. She is well connected. Knows everyone in town.
(ignore the crappiness of the website... http://www.elainemcdonald.com/)

Berlin is a Right to Farm community, and a very old farm town.

No, I know you weren't. We've had that discussion. :)

Honestly, it's why I'm eying Berlin, and it's surrounding digs. Too bad it's so bloody expensive in that area, but I'll keep looking.
Thanks for the link!

Check the Unclassifiend section of the NOFA site. They periodically have farmland for sale there. There is some for sale/for rent now.

It would be wicked spiffy if you lived nearby! =)

The more I think about it, the more this is becoming home. It's where my stuff is. It's where my friends and support system is. It's where I get my pretty pretty bruises. ;)
While I'd love to live out west... because you know, 120 acre farm the family already owns... there's not much left out there for me. I can't hang out waiting for my father to die before getting on with the life I want to lead because I will be forever 8 in his mind. Or wait to help my sister live the life she would like to lead.
I was always told growing up - "You want something done right, you do it yourself" - well, this is me putting out the feelers to do it myself.
