Ran around with the windows down and did errands with Mom today.
Found a drawknife exactly where I'd expected my grandfather to leave it. It is now in my possession, until which time it can be rehabbed a bit, used, and put back exactly where I found it.
Raked and did a little light yardwork for Mom.
Stuck Littlest Lilac in where Mom pointed (she's thrilled, thanks Illustrator!)
Sat on the outside swing.
Pet Baby Martha (pictures coming)
Had a glass of wine, a piece of chocolate cake and puzzled over this with Mom:

(Honestly, 4 layers? With linings, and interlinings? The pattern calls for a Smock, a Kirtle, a middle dress and an over gown, if I'm reading it right. Really, I am going to have to hunt down and talk to some of ya'll who know what the hell you're doing when it comes to this type of sewing.)
Talked long into the night with Mom about stuff and stuff. That's for a later post.
G'night.
