Retail therapy

With all the crazy going on at work, I needed to back up all the freelance stuff I do on this machine. Went out to Staples last night and picked up a 500 gig external drive.
Does anyone else remember when 1 gig was unbelievably cool? Felt old. Paid suckling child for my "outdated" 500 gigs of tech and left.
(Anything under one terrabyte is so yesterday, apparently.)

Went home, dumped all my personal stuff over and organized it. Archived old freelance. Fed my inner OCD.

Also picked up a usb wireless mouse.
Holy CRAP, why didn't I get one of these eons ago? Designing on the trackpad was torture - now I have my all-terrain mouse, and it is good.

Realized today that when I dumped all my personal stuff, I also dumped my backgrounds and screensaver pictures.
Oh well. Small price to pay for freelance and reign stuff safely secured on the drive at home.

Quotes are collected for the stamps, thank you notes and envelopes. Tonight - bugging nice weblady for access for Johame, pulling together thoughts for Her Highness on nameing conventions and device design, walking pooches, picking up drugs, perhaps a nice stiff drink and to bed.
