Commune is an inflammatory word. Pop it in a headline, get instant readership. Put "community" into the same headline, see noticeable drop-off in readership. So the idea that any press is good press? I dunno, but I agree with you.
I find the push for people to pool resources interesting... and I'm rather proud to know people who were "ahead of the curve." ;) - K.
