Solid weekend. Full of alcoholic treats, and lots of walking. Petting noses of cart ponies.

HorseChaser came out to visit for a few days. She and I played hooky and went to the beach to wiggle our toes in the sand yesterday. The water was actually warmer than I expected. It was a good day of doing silly touristy things. I'd love to go back, but a public beach on a monday is one thing, on a weekend, I'm sure is far different story.
We both lamented that we had forgotten buckets and shovels.

All in all, a good day. Cleaned a bit, returned a slew of bottles, vaccumed. Yay, productive.

Trying to take stock of what I'll need for war. Hard when I'm never in the same place more than a week.
Must find a place to start my staging area.

Hungery now. Hrrm.

Castle Island in South Boston is a pretty much locals only beach and even during the stupid hot weekends has available parking.

hrmm.. i shall absolutely keep that in mind... Can one get there by train?

pretty much. It's the JFK/Umass stop on the Red Line and a 10-15 minute walk.

They are the beaches near my house.
