"So here's the deal:

You are an artist/designer.

You have to put together the cover for the first issue of what you have been told is the first ever romance comic. It is called YOUNG ROMANCE.

The publisher wants to be sure that you get the text ALL TRUE LOVE STORIES on the cover somewhere.

And that's it."

Right now I hate you, Internet Jesus, So Very Very Hard.
In that good pain kind of way.

So tonight will consit of cutting out gorget leather (got the pattern, not thanks to wily technology,) and sketching for this.

Arming coat is coming along - I'm excited to see the end result. Picked up the forearm/elbows from the CatHaus, and they work almost too perfectly with the pads I picked up - They fill out the space to a T.
I'm ever so grateful for loaner gear (it allows me to participate) but I can modify "my" stuff to fit right, as opposed to the loaner stuff that I feel like I swim around in.

Tandy Leather is full of win, and I'm now a "member" which really only means I'll likely spend a lot of money there.
I did get the leather needed to strap the armor, and leather needed for edging the aventail and construct the gorget. (There was a Sale! $98 split for $42! Win!)
Sat in front of the common house at Chimlockalot, taught myself how to use the awl and got the nice red leather edging on the aventail. It's not super pretty, but it's functional.
Huzzah.

Got to Osgood's Saturday, and Mom and I spend way too much time galavanting from one end of the store to the other. Picked up some lovely rawish white silk, a delicious crimson, and an exquisite burgundy/crimson/gold. We shall see what will become of it. I totally blanked that R.H. would have been at Gulf war last week, and that's why my pattern hasn't showed up.

Pretty sure this dress won't be done for coronation. Ah well. Somewhere in there I lost a month.

Cleaned much of my house, slept in - all in all, a good weekend. Mr Dog is off - don't think he's feeling good. Will keep an eye on him.

if you go here:
http://coldantlerfarm.blogspot.com/
and read down a little ways, you're see a pedal-powered spit. For roasting things.
Like a lamb, for example. Or other delectible meat products.

Perhaps... perhaps O'Choda could use a pedal-powered spit? ;)
