Woke up with a headache. Never a good sign. Gotta be allergies.
Must find drugs...

Got most of what I want to done today done. Most Pennsic stuff is down in Mansfield awaiting transport to PA. Even fit the extra light sheet in the bag with the rest of the bedding.

Heard from Sg.Zippy today. Seams like I'm going to be an aunt. Holy shit. Well, seudo-aunt. Sg.Zippy lived with us for a good long while back when things were bad during highschool. He's a big brother in disguise. And now he's married and is going to have an Kidlet all his own.

During the course of the email conversation I was having with him I found out something that really pisses me off though. Zip's in the service and stationed in Italy. His wife's in Georgia. Paperwork didn't move fast enough, so she can't go over and be with him overseas, (she's too far along now,) and it looks like they aren't going to let him go home to see his own kid be born.
Grrr.. and I know a lot of military types are out there grumbling about how "if everyone who wanted to go home went" and so on and so forth, but c'mon. What a screwed up set of priorities. Happy soldier types have got to be better soldier types. Whatever. He's my brother and he can't see his kid born. So I'm irritated.

Today I was given justification for carrying around a tapemeasure, a flashlight, and assorted other shop goods in my backpack. First I had to measure a length of lamination to the tune of 23'(a pain in the ass to measure with a 18" ruler,) and then the power went out. Mini-Mag to the rescue! Ran around and shut all the machines off because I was the only one who could see in any detail. We then sat around in the dark debateing on whether or not to go home. Just as we were locking up the lights came back up, so we stayed. Poo. But I get paid for that 45 min. of sitting. Huzzah.

I find a bothersome trend lately. I hope it's just stress getting to me, but I've been very absent minded. Like forgetting to to things that are usually automatic, and even things that aren't, like paying the lady behind the counter at Dunky's. It's getting rather unnerving... I'm losing my mind. Literally. It's gone somewhere, and I can't find it...

Anywho, Goodnight!
