all in all
Dec. 10th, 2012 01:49 pmThe weekend was busy, but pleasant. Holiday-ness happened.
Spent Friday night wrapping gifts and cleaning my room. Saturday, woke up early and drove to CT for an event, which while I felt I preformed much sub-par, I received many nice complements. Heraldic mischief was made, and I will be registering my evil pet pizzly bear as my badge. Hilarious.
The cold and wet conspired that by the end my knee and lower back were Displeased, and I took off after court.
Sunday, I got duded up, pried a friend of mine away from his end of semester term papers, and we sauntered over to Trinity Church to catch their rendition of Handel's Messiah. They only did the Christmas part, and the Hallelujah Chorus, which is a little disappointing as it means I didn't get to hear, "Oh We Like Sheep", but thus is life. The Bass soloist was a bit flat, but then again, Sir Neville Marinner has set my expectations a bit high. Only nodded off a little.
Following culture, we met up with a professor friend of his for a drink, and after delightful conversation, I toddled home in the cold rain to my snuggly warm bed.
Next Tuesday, Celtic Christmas making. Woo!
