Holy Crap, it's almost May.
Apr. 18th, 2011 12:57 pmUpdate, Liam-style:
• Work is blowing up. I have 15 lbs of crap to shovel into a 2 lb bag. They still can't tell me what team I play for. At this point it seems I play for everyone, and if the gleam that I saw in one of the Director's eyes this morning was any indication, (the same gleam Mr B got last night when I gave him that nice fatty pork bone,) I'm going to be "in the weeds"for a while, as a guy used to say when I worked for The Alcoholics. I prefer "up to my eyeballs in alligators."
• Crown graphics are going ok. I will sit down tonight and figure out who's left that I haven't gotten anything for. This year I think I'm going to have an Argyle Shield of Shame for anyone who hasn't gotten back to me.
• Mr B's healthy, and exhausted after the weekend.
• I'm exhausted after the weekend. Fought at Balfar's on Saturday, and in hindsight did better than I thought on the day. Right calf got stepped on toward the end, triggering a cramp. Tried to work it out, did a few more and packed it in.
Went to the Lockleven SparBQ on Sunday for a little while. Had to leave just as the fun group stuff was starting, but got in a few ok one on one's, and some even more fun two on one's. Left early for scheduled massage. After last week at work, I needed someone to extract my shoulders from up around my ears.
• Started week 3.1 of Ct5k this morning. I thought the 3 minute intervals would bother me, but I realized after I ended that it's just like it used to be. I've never been a sprinter, but once upon a time I was ok at endurance and distance. I'm a plodder, and the longer intervals suit me just fine. I'm not a ball of fire, but I'll get there.
Noticed marked improvement in recovery time at the event.
• Feet and knees weren't nearly as cranky with me this morning. I blame redirected attention to the bruises.
•Have the option to take next Monday and Tuesday off. With work blowing up, not sure if I'll be able to, and that makes me irrationally cranky. I don't ask for time of hardly ever, but due to the situation, I think I'm stuck. This means I have to put off applying for my License to carry for a little while longer, as the place I'm applying is only open from 7-9, Tuesday evenings. Small towns are great, just not very convenient.
