(no subject)
Sep. 7th, 2010 12:34 pmThis weekend saw the little terrorist rehomed to Auntie Lionstar's Home for Wayward Cats.
Peace reigns again in my household. Mr B. is noticably less depressed, though an outing yesterday to visit his large galumpy friends Shane and George also seemed to help.
Got a collar for my armor outlined and cut out to hang my shoulders from rather than from the straps of the chest/back plate. Have to have someone else eyeball how to hang the shoulders off it. Broke leather hole punch in the process, so it looks like I'll be looking into those nifty ratcheting ones I saw at war.
Saturday and Sunday were all about moving Miss Lionstar. Saturday was tag saleing what could be sold and then ripping up carpet with abandon.
I can now add carpet uninstaller to my list of skills.
Sunday was more clean up and the moving in of her furniture. Few things were damaged, and what was can be repaired.
Except for the bannister post.
There was no way any of that funiture was going up the stairs without removal of it. I tried to be gentle. I tried to pursuade it to come apart gracefully so it could be put back together later.
In the end, we got the finnial (top of the post) off 95% cleanly, but the rest... well, let's just say they didn't build it to ever be taken apart. The post (a faux post, really, was not solid,) it's self is consigned to the dumpster gods, and I owe miss Lionstar a new one. The bannister rail came off with some freindly pursuasion and a sawsall. Lionstar is going to need a new blade on it, I fear.
I'm fabulously sore today, (took a day for everything to catch up with me.)
*yawn*
Already done with this.
