The skinny, and a word of thanks...

Ok, so here's where I thank all youse for offering the rides, the wheels, and the sanity for the past couple of days. I really handled the "you dodn't need this car right now anyway" situation very poorly, at best. So a great whooping thanks to everyone who came out to offer brakework, trucks, bats, kicks in the ass, etc, etc.

The current plan is to drive out the newly "fixed" car to Carkiller in Morrisville, NY. I say "Fixed" because I have not driven it yet, though I am assured it is fine. We'll see. If brakes are still not up to speck, I stay home, car stays home, mom dropping off plan will go into effect.

Let's hope these brakes work, ehh?

S'ok,
It took about eight hours of driving,
with my mother,
whom I love, but hate driving with,
through that crappy-ass rainstorm that made Pennsic look downright balmy,
With $8.20 in tolls,
but Carkiller has been returned her beast,
(still not working great, but functional, and it won't kill her.)

And I,
I have my Purple Cow back.
(And the was a metric ton of rejoicing!)

I'm getting the Hell Outta Dodge at 10 am tomorrow morning.
Swinging through Waltham to pick up my 'good' shoes, getting to interview for 4 in Burlington.

Packed for the weekend. (Safira, I'm set for a ride!)
ArmorAll-ed my portfolio case.
Rearranged portfolio contents.
Have new 'Interview Clothes' that look less... mournful.
Need to print out a copy of my resume, perhaps once I hit Casa tomorrow... Illustrator, my beastie should be able to see your beastie, right? If not, Staples, here I come...

Need to sleep now. Though gods only know how well that's going to go.
