There and back again
Aug. 27th, 2002 10:11 pmWell, I'm back for my limited two day engagement down in lovely Leominster. Or something.
Been home for a really long weekend. Going back Thursday night for another one before gearing up for school on monday.
Been shooting twice daily in my back yard. In morning, and then in the evening. It's amasing what a little practice'll do for ya.
Went for a walk. Not a long one, but long enough. The air was sweet and cool, and the sunset was awe-inspiring. Dark velvet blue from the east cascading down into a lighter, almost tawny blue, speckeled with tiny golden-orange clouds, all overlayed with bright, think, bold pink clouds, framed by black tree branches.
And I stopped and just stared, breathing in the decending night, hoping I could take it with me, knowing I couldn't; holding out hope that the east wind that rose up to caress my face wasn't just a fluke.
*sigh*
Sights like that are ment to be shared. And here I am, getting quite a few of them, and there's this big empty space just off to my right.
Empty spaces make me happy, and melancholie at the same time. Been mulling over a few things I found out back a couple of weeks ago, but it's like chewing on a piece of jerky whose origions are debateable. You think it's a good thing, but you just can't quite make up your mind.
Well off to find some asperin... my shoulders are starting to protest all this abuse... Rather loudly...
Ehh, whatever doesn't kill me just makes me stronger and all that crap.
