kragore: (Me)
I do. It's 90* in my bedroom. So hot that while I made the effort to go to bed, it was all for naught. here I am back again. Looking at the screen, quietly tapping in thoughts over the humm of the fans. They aren't doing much good, (the fans.) Just kinda pushing hot air from one side of the room and back again.
Ahh well.
Made salmon for dinner tonight. It wasn't bad. Too bad that cooking today was something akin to the first layer of hell. Corn came out pretty good too. and I have left overs for lunch. yay!
Was happily bestowed a gift today. Now I too can have pretty ponies up on my wall! However, it's far to hot to get excited about much of anything right now, so I'll save it for later...

Varju,
come and stay a while.
Rest yourself.

Explain to me the universe,
as seen through your black eye.
Is it as full of pain,
as we see it?
As full of opportunity lost?

Or is it just so much carrion,
opportunity in the making?

You dance lightly today,
my friend.
Is it that even in your infinite wisdom,
you too are appalled?

Rise and fly them to the stars,
Chosen of Fire.
They need your guidance now.

I shall sit,
and sing them to the stars;
home.

I want to laugh again.

I'm going to see Lilo and Stich tonight. I'll be at the latest showing at John Fitch.

If you want to laugh with me, please come. Bring friends. Let us laugh together.

I realize Cervantes and some are going to see MIBII at Wanghenge.
Please leave your pet melodrama at the door.

Went and saw Lilo and Stitch with OrionsMom, Druid, and Thorge. It was a wonderful movie; Funny and sad, but Happy overall. Much of the subtile humor is geared at geeks and anyone over 20.
I'm very glad to see that a kid's movie has finally addressed the issue of kids and "broken" homes. (I don't like that term, but you know what I'm talking about.) It was well handled, and tastefully done.
I'd go back and see it again.
In other news, I went to Michael's yeasterday (big craft store.) Saw a seasonal display and bought some Pennsic supplies.
*mad cackle, accompanied by a mad dash about the room*

It's still bleeding hot out. Cervantes is off doing the things Cervantes does, and Thorge took off to the sanctuary of the Tewksbury house to seek cooler climes.
So I get the house, all by my lonesome, all night. It's me and the turtle, and the turtle's not talking. (He's not even basking much, the bugger's so hot.)
*sigh*
I sleep better with people. I guess I got to used to that dorm living, where they may not be loud, but you know people are out there. It's why I sleep better when I'm sleeping close to or with someone, (literally, not metaphorically, bastard.) It's why, when I'm comfortable and there's moderatly little movement, I can sleep like a rock at events, (often better than at my house.) I'm attributing it to a far-flung protection instinct. Safety in a herd, and all that rot.

Accessorized my car today. (So? I'm female, I do that. Shut up, you in the back.) I got it new rugs, a lug-nut wrench, two spiffy license plate frames, two quarts of oil (just in case, )and an air-freshener. I wanted to get it seat covers too, but didn't want leopard print, (I don't want my car to say yes to anything,) didn't want the tiger print, and the grey was too boring. Thought about the cow print, but it didn't fit the grey/black color scheme the car has taken on. Shall ponder this further.
Oh, and the car came pre-named. Seems it likes being Falcon (as it's stickered to it's trunk,) So Falcon it will be.

So much to do, so little time...
