What's in a name?
Jun. 11th, 2002 10:08 pmWell, I have lots of names, and there's lots of different things in them. I have bears, crows, nails, and foxes hidden craftily within the folds of language.
And tonight, as I sat down to write up an estimate (for the business cards that I've already designed and are destined for proof,) a name popped into my head.
Blazing Moose.
And so I shall market my designing skills under said name. Silly? yes. Fun? yes. An accurate representation of my skills? probably. And So Blazing Moose Designs was born.
heh. ;-\
In other news, President Richards announced his retirement today. In the interam, the old retiring treasurer Revard will replace him as Executive Vice President.
This is good. In the face of budget cuts, perhaps this man, who's been a treasurer for 38 years, can save my job. I can hope.
Have discovered blowing bubbles is a wonderful way to relieve tension. Hooray for little exploding things.
Tired. Very. Got a call earlier from my Mum. Seems the Aunt isn't doing so well, and Mum's takeing the day off Friday to drive her up for some tests at Dartmouth in VT. Things aren't looking good, I guess.
This means no one's coming out to get me friday. And potentially, no one to come get me Saturday morning, as they may have to stay overnight. Bugger.
Perhaps I'll see if anyone's going out to the Event in Goshen, and hop a ride to the top of 116 with them. Or not. I dunno..
Getting a little edgey. Wish I wasn't such a ball of nerves lately. Been a few incidents that have made the back of my neck crawl, but nothing overmuch, bar normal...(such is the plight of independant contractor.)
Guess I'll chalk it up to too much work.
