Because on my weekends off, I can't do anything normal. Like go to a movie. Or just stay home.
No, no.
Sunday morning saw me up at 5 am to drive out to NY with HorseChaser to help her photograph the Combined Driving Fall Trial for the Saratoga Driving Association. Her normal second hand for these things couldn't make it.
It was 38 degrees. There was frost coating my car and it was still dark when we left for the show.
She's the photographer. I'm limited in my abilities to a PHD (Push Here Dummy) style camera. But after a 15 minute crash course in "How to use this Camera to Shoot Horses" some of my stuff didn't suck.
This is one of the better ones. (Notice how I caught the extended trot still in air? PURE LUCK.)
Just when I get to thinking I have expensive hobbies, I will recall these folks. I got nothin' on them. Particularly not the woman with the matched pair of Friesian mares.
